Job description

This is an advanced position to be part of a Team of engineers developing a new engine technology. This program will use a revolutionary engine design to power a generator to develop clean energy. The Sr. Engineer will be a very important part of influencing the mechanical design with regard to thermo/fluids and heat transfer. The program is fast paced and requires dedication and a strong desire to succeed.
Primary job responsibilities include:
 Develop, design and document, calculate thermo/heat transfer of external combustion engine;
 Improve product design as needed, develop key mechanical components, like combustion chamber, heat exchanger etc.
 Provide solution to any technical issues, failures happened at workshop;
 Improve, innovate product to reduce cost, enhance quality, remove safety issues;
 Lead and guide other engineers on product design and improvement;
Qualifications
Previous experience in high speed rotating machinery design and qualification desired. Experienced in design to manufacture and design to cost practices. CAD experience is a bonus but not required. Strong understanding and experience with FEM/FEA (Finite Element Modeling/Analysis) structural analysis applicable to thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluids. ANSYS experience is a plus.
Understand and experienced in test procedures for mechanical systems. Previous engine and/or power generation experience is highly desirable. The Sr. Engineer III will have leadership skills and a strong commitment to program success. Individual must display a progression of increasing responsibilities in the project field relative to thermodynamics and heat transfer. Must be able to mentor other engineers and guide through experience influences of thermo/heat transfer on the design. An engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace and good spoken and written English language skills required. 7-10 years experience or more in the engineering field is required.
