Responsibilities:
Lead the Engineering Department and responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of in-house tooling manufacturing, resources and contractors management, standards development/maintenance, testing activities, continuous improvement, engineering team capabilities/skills development to ensure the business objectives are met
Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategies, policies, process and procedures for the highest operational performance
Contribute to new business initiatives, projects, review the impacts on Engineering activities
Manufacture new tools from technical drawings to high level of workmanship
Provide specialist technical support to tooling design, manufacturing RFQ and other projects/tasks assigned.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate products on-time delivery and ensure optimal performance
Coach, develop and inspire the engineering team towards proactive mindset and resilience to innovative changes
Responsible for Engineering budget
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in relevant engineering discipline
At least 10 years of working experience in an Automotive Metal Stamping environment
Well-versed in new product development and launch activities
Good working knowledge in world class Automotive stamping production systems and processes
Able to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
Committed, remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for the success
Able to work efficiently and productively in independent and team settings, and compete the job demands within a tight deadline
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good organization skills with meticulous attention to details
Excellent communication skills in written and verbal
Command of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
