The position (Objective): Design Release Engineer (DRE) – DC/DC converter and Charger specializes in the development, integration and maintenance of the data related to DC/DC converter and Charging system. DRE interfaces with internal and/or external suppliers while making sure that the system developed according to the requirements, validated according to the automotive standards with functionality and updates maintained through the lifecycle of the product. DRE interfaces with other development teams in the engineering, manufacturing and project management departments to insure timely and high quality deliverables produced by the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for development of technical requirements of DC/DC and Charger
* Responsible for maintenance of the engineering data related to DC/DC and Charger
* Responsible for defining DC/DC and Charger validation requirements according to the standards and best practices in automotive industry.
* Responsible for DC/DC and Charger hardware development and validation
* Responsible for DC/DC and Charger software development and validation
* Interface with suppliers and relevant teams within Qoros for DC/DC and Charger integration
Required Knowledge & Skills:
* MS preferred in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
* 3+ years of experience in development of DC/DC converter and charging system for automotive applications
* Experience in HV system hardware circuit design and validation
* In-depth understanding of principles of power electronics, familiar with power devices like IGBT, MOSFET
* Familiar with tools like CATIA, CANoe, familiar with standards of Charging system
* Experience working with EV and HEV platforms is a plus
* Good written and communication skills in English
