SUMMARY: The function of this position is to prepare business cases, target strategic business opportunities and cooperate with global sales team for supporting and service JV customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Develop new opportunities with existing global OEMs and new local OEMs. Develop new automotive customers (contacts). Deal with the customer daily demand and business communication. Manage business opportunities in China as a central point for collecting, tracking and working with cross function team to assign resources to potential new business. Assist in presenting strategic sales opportunities to customers and support global sales team in the acquisition phase to new and existing business. Communicate with global sales team: Include Chinese market requirements, opportunities into global product catalog, product offerings, and communications. Target customers include Changan Ford, GAC-FIAT, Dongfeng PSA and Changan and so on. Related to program opportunities during pre-award timeframe: Develop a program plan, resource requirements and overall costs to launch the program with the program teams, including local account team and global EBU team. Ensure that appropriate technical interface during the business development cycle is established and maintained with the customer. Lead and Coordinate the RFQ response activities for opportunities decided by the Sales and BD Team. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A bachelor’s degree in engineering 5 - 10 years of automotive experience (experience with automotive body electronics or engine controls a plus) Fluency in speaking, reading and writing Chinese and English required. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with at least 5 years sales work experience. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Especially, having the working experience with Changan Ford and FIAT. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be technically and socially fluent in English and customer’s native language as a minimum. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals. Must be able to write reports and conduct business correspondences in Chinese and English. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, in both English and native language. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee may be required to travel to various domestic locations for the purpose of conducting business on behalf of the company.
